I want to share with you a really simple technique I use every day in our office to correct that morning stiff neck you might have experienced at some point in your life.
You see, as much as I love helping people, this really is a simple trick you can do that will often just resolve that problem quickly on your own without my help.
So if you wake up one morning with a really sore neck try this simple trick.
Turn your head to the right and left. You’ll find turning to one side is really sore and restricted. On that side find the top corner of your shoulder blade closest to your neck.
Using a firm rotary action, apply pressure to this area whilst you gently rotate your head from side to side.
Finally, use a firm pinching action to broadly squeeze the muscles at the back of the neck whilst you again turn your head from side to side.
You see, most morning neck pain comes from poor pillow support. When this occurs we tend to shrug our shoulder all night to provide a little extra neck support. The result of this is we awake having done an 8 hour gym session.
Freeing up this muscle can help relieve this pain. But just be aware it can take a few days for delayed onset muscle soreness and inflammation to settle.
But if you’re uncertain of the cause of your neck pain, if things aren’t improving or you’re concerned something a little more serious may be occurring, don’t leave it. Give me a call immediately and I’ll get you in as soon as possible. I don’t want you to be worried about your problem or lose the quality of your life. Either way, the long term solution is to have a proper pillow fit out to ensure your pillow is the right size for you.
If you’ve never had a proper pillow fit out, give me a call and I’ll arrange that for you too!
This wonderful and very well written article reminded me of when I had big problems with teeth,
cavities and pain, yellow and ugly teeth, then I found a simple way to rebuild my teeth and gums and get rid of tooth decay.
Keep doing a great job!
